Trek is one of the well-known global bicycle brands. This family-owned manufacturer design their (e-)bikes from their headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin, and has had some famous riders use their equipment over the years to great successes in the Tour de France, and many other great races. For their E-bikes, Trek has partnered with Bosch to build bikes with reliable and high-performing electrical components. The Rail full-suspension eMTB is a testament to that successful collaboration. The Rail 5 is the entry model of the range, but by no means basic. It combines a strong alloy frame with high-quality components like the Bosch Performance CX (Gen4) drive unit, a fully integrated but easily removable 500Wh battery, the intuitive and robust Bosch Purion display, and the Shimano Deore M6100 12-speed drivetrain with Shimano 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes. The Rail 5 is a full-suspension electric mountain bike built for ripping the big stuff. It features the same high-end trail tech as our analogue trail bikes, plus a powerful Bosch drive system that’s basically like having your own shuttle. With 160mm travel on the front and 150mm on the rear it can go anywhere.
