The Merida eSPRESSO 400 EQ commuter and city e-bike offers a long list of features first introduced on the top end models paired with some more budget-friendly spec choices that get the job done without fuss. The powerful and easy-to-control Shimano EP6 drive unit offers a reliable helping hand, while the 504Wh battery gives plenty of range, even when you’ve loaded up the standard-fit rack with MIK HD compatible mounts. With a smooth 9-speed Shimano CUES drivetrain and powerful but easily controlled hydraulic disc brakes, along with a smooth suspension fork for extra comfort and control, it’s ready when you are.
This ex-lease bike is in near new condition and has only done 540km and comes fully equipped with integrated lights, mudguards and rack.
Size XL, suitable for riders 185-200cm. Bike comes with 6 months parts warranty. Optional ABUS Bordo 6000 folding lock available too.

Warranties vary depending on the age and condition of the bike. Some bikes will have full manufacturer’s warranty available; for other bikes the warranty term will be shorter between 3-12 months (e.g., ex-demo with higher kms and ex-lease ebikes); some ebikes will have 3 months parts warranty (refurbished), or 30 days parts warranty (consignment sales). What’s the condition of the bike?
Every Sparque Certified ebike comes fully serviced, safety‑checked, and ready to roll. Most include a fresh tune‑up, and many are still covered by manufacturer warranty. We’ll always make sure you know exactly what’s included before you ride away.
We don’t just give them a quick polish; we make sure each one is safe, reliable, and ready to ride.
Here’s how we describe their condition:
- Ex-Demo: a near new bike, low kms, little or no markings or scratches. Lived on our shop floor and may have ridden around the block a few times. Some have under 5km!
- Refurbished: can be ex-demos with more kms, ex-lease bikes (serviced by our workshop or our service partners), consignment ebike (we sometimes sell our customers ebikes if they meet our standards – these bikes are refurbished by our team).
Frame condition listing is based on the following:
- As New: Presents as new. No noticeable marks, minimal use and virtually indistinguishable from new.
- Very Good: Light cosmetic wear only: small scuffs or hairline scratches.
- Good: Apparent signs of regular use: visible scratches/paint chips, touchups.
- Fair: Visible cosmetic wear: larger chips, scuffs, minor dents or light surface rust, all reflected in the price. Fully serviced and safe to ride.
